Our run up the valley tops out at Murrurundi, north of Scone, and both towns have clients of ours already.
Upper Hunter Shire covers 8,096 square kilometres, and the 2021 census counted 14,229 people across all of it. It is horse country. The Upper Hunter is the largest horse-rearing region in Australia, and we have done termite work on studs and stables through it. Of all the areas we cover, it is the most rural by a distance. You can drive a long way up here without passing a house, and we do. We would like to be making that drive more often.

What goes into the price at a horse property?
Every building on it. The stables, sheds and house each have to be inspected or treated, so a stud with several stable blocks is a bigger job than a house on a town block, and it is all quoted as a single visit. Give us a rough count of the buildings when you ring and we can usually price it then.
